Some telecom and IT powerhouses rolled out new products and services in May.
Among them: Verizon’s software-defined perimeter; CenturyLink’s SAP software-focused solution; new SD-WAN offerings from Masergy and Versa Networks; and a handful of upgrades to various cloud services.
Some of these are new for you, the partner, to sell, while other are tools to help you do your jobs more easily.

Verizon
Verizon Enterprise Solutions rolled out a Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP) offering designed to help businesses identify and block attacks.
The SDP service is a scalable software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that is said to allow secure access to enterprise applications. It works to isolate the communication between the enterprises’ devices and applications, the company said.

CenturyLink
CenturyLink launched a new SAP software–focused solution that has enhanced automation. It is a fully managed solution that CenturyLink says helps optimize the workloads of customers that run SAP software.

Masergy

Ingram Micro
Distributor Ingram Micro announced a Technology-as-a-Service program that offers new payment options.
The key differentiator between the new ones and the existing one is that a solution can include hardware, software, cloud and a reseller’s own services wrapped together in a payment model.

Versa Networks
Versa Networks rolled out several new and expanded software-defined networking capabilities that it says will help partners and their customers address IT complexity
Versa announced that it is introducing what it calls a "software-defined branch" to its set of SDN capabilities. The Santa Clara, California-based vendor has updated its cloud IP platform to include several new functions: the hosting of third-party virtual network functions; integrated Ethernet and Wi-Fi switching; and embedded LTE.

SingleHop
SingleHop enhanced its business-continuity portfolio by adding two disaster-recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) solutions.
The cloud-based solutions are active and standby DRaaS. The standby version works with the company’s virtual private cloud platform to replicate important applications, and the active version works with Singlehop’s dedicated private cloud platform.

ExtraHop launched a set of new professional services. The services include cloud migration, “microsegmentation” and data center migration.

Citrix
Citrix announced various new capabilities within the Citrix Cloud – including software-defined networking and analytics – and a new security framework
Citrix says the new user experience connects applications and documents of mobile, SaaS, web and Windows using a single sign-on.

Dell EMC
Dell EMC announced the 14th generation of PowerEdge servers, the first launch as a combined organization that focuses on the data center with servers, storage and converged infrastructure.
The new product portfolio boasts a secure, scalable compute platform suited to cloud, analytics or the software-defined data center, the company said.

IGEL Technology
IGEL, the endpoint management software provider, upgraded the IGEL Universal Desktop-series UD5 and UD6 thin clients, adding support for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.
The IGEL Universal Desktop UD5 and UD6 thin clients feature Intel Celeron dual-core and quad-core processors, respectively, and support high-performance graphics capabilities for a rich multimedia experience, the company said.
