Basics of the Business for the New Agent: Things You Need to Know
There is nothing simple about selling high-tech services. Want moving parts? Got them. Want demanding customers? Got them, too. Want stress? Plenty of that available. The whole thing can be overwhelming, particularly for new agents.
So whats the best way for a new agent to master the moving parts, satisfy customers and minimize stress? You have to master the basics of your profession.
That is why an important part of the Channel Partners Conference will be the pre-conference workshop entitled Sales Agency 101: Best Practices for New Agents Selling Network-Based Communications and IT Services.” The workshop will feature some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the channel.
Topics reviewed will include:
- What it means to be an agent
- What products you can sell
- How to choose suppliers
- How you are paid
- How to manage customers
- The ins and outs of contract negotiations
The workshop will be moderated by Editor-in-Chief Khali Henderson of Channel Partners. The panelists will be Ben Bronston, founder and owner of Ben Bronston Telecom Lawyer; Bill Power, CEO of Agent Alliance Inc., and the irrepressible Laura Bernstein, president of CRA Inc.
The Sales Agency 101 pre-conference workshop will be held Monday, March 26, from 2-4 p.m.
Are you just starting your career? Have you been in the profession for a while but are looking to sharpen your tools? The Sales Agency 101 workshop on the afternoon of Monday, March 26, is perfect for you.
