HP and Hexaware Help Customers Test Mobile Applications
You have to learn to walk before you run. That’s the theory behind Hewlett Packard‘s latest initiative with Hexaware Technologies, an IT, BPO and consulting service firm and an HP Software Elite Partner. Hexaware has built a software lab at its near-shore global deliver center in Saltillo, Mexico to test HP mobile software and help HP customers save money on testing applications.
The popularity of mobile devices grew exponentially throughout 2010, as companies realized that mobile applications can increase their productivity, keep employees connected while away from their offices and give customers remote access to the services they need to run their businesses. But HP and Hexaware believe that the testing phase of these mobile applications has largely been overlooked. So the two companies are determined to handle testing for their clients and cut customers’ testing costs by at least 50 percent and slash test cycle times by 50 percent to 70 percent.
There are three main goals that Hexaware and HP want to accomplish at this new testing lab:
- Help IT departments keep up with business demands.
- Cut business costs when it comes to testing.
- Showcase Hexaware’s OneSource solution specifically designed to handle Complete Lifecycle Management with HP Software solutions.
I’ll be speaking with members of HP and Hexaware next week to learn more about the new testing lab and about other HP-Hexaware joint solutions. I’m curious to learn if managed services providers (MSPs) and channel partners will have access to the lab.
