Arrow Business Communications Acquires UC Provider Orca Telecom
The Orca transaction represents Arrow’s sixth acquisition in the last five years. Arrow said Orca will enable it to provide local support to its Scottish customer base.
“Arrow is looking to expand its national customer base but maintain a local presence,” an Arrow spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud. “Orca will continue as a separate entity but have the backing and resources of Arrow to help them provide the best support for their customers.”
In addition, Orca’s employees will remain with Arrow. The company will work with Orca to integrate their employees, an Arrow spokesperson said, and help them develop future opportunities in Scotland.
“We are excited about working with Arrow as we share the same suppliers and, more importantly, the same culture of providing a personal service to business customers,” Orca Director Wayne Mackay said in a prepared statement.
The acquisition could help Arrow capitalize on a rapidly expanding UC market as well.
TechNavio predicted that the global UC market could expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.08 percent between 2014 and 2019.
