NovaStor has offices in Augora Hill, Calif. But the company focused on Europe this week to promote its latest storage offerings for managed services providers (MSPs). The story begins at the CeBIT Trade Fair in Hanover, Germany. That's where NovaStor launched NovaBACKUP xSP 12.1 for MSPs.
According to a company press release, NovaStor includes:
The new product is a bit of a surprise as the company released NovaBackup xSP Version 12.0 just three months ago in an effort to pitch their services to MSP's. The offering has a VMware plug-in for agentless virtualized environment backup and lets clients schedule backups on virtual machines when they're both on-line and off-line. This newest version reinforces the company's commitment to build more of a clientele in the MSP space.
- FastBIT 3 to increase backup speed and cut local cache sizes as much as 90 percent;
- Built-in replication technology for continuous real-time replication of data to one or more targets; and the option to quickly perform local restores.
The 12.1 release is scheduled to be available for purchase in May 2011. MSPmentor will be watching to see how NovaStor strives to differentiate in the extremely crowded market for online backup and storage solutions in the managed services market.
