CoreOS Funding Hits $48M as Container Momentum Builds
At its CoreOS Fest event in Berlin this week, CoreOS announced a new $28 million funding round, bringing total funding to date to $48 million. GV (formerly Google Ventures), Accel, Fuel Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) and Y Combinator Continuity Fund all participated in the funding round.
Scott Noteboom’s Data Center Startup LitBit Raises $7M
According to Talkin’ Cloud sister site Data Center Knowledge, the startup recently raised $7 million from a group of venture capital firms led by Storm Venture that also includes Illuminate Ventures, Correlation Ventures, and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang’s AME Cloud Ventures.
Rancher Labs Closes $20 Million Series B Funding Round
Container management software provider Rancher Labs announced a $20 million Series B funding round on Tuesday.
Kingsoft Cloud raises $50m in Series C+ financing
KingSoft Cloud Company, a subsidiary of Kingsoft Corp, announced this week that it has completed a $50 million Series C+ funding round, pushing its valuation past $1.1 billion, according to a report by China Daily. Led by China Merchants Securities Co Ltd, the company’s parent company Kingsoft Corp also participated in the round.
