Cisco Verdict Could Impact Partner Contracts
Cisco Systems Inc. recently lost a lawsuit brought by a VAR partner to the tune of $6 million. But what does that mean for the channel?
IDC analyst John Grady, who covers hardware channels for the research firm, wrote in a recent ChannelLine blog that the determination that Cisco’s partner agreement was unfair could spur change in partnership agreements in the industry. And, generally, it should drive home the point that partners should be treated fairly by their vendors.
