CompTIA Adds New Playbooks to IT Channel Training Curriculum
CompTIA is expanding its education and training curriculum for IT channel companies through the introduction of three new sales playbooks on emerging market opportunities.
These new playbooks are focused on advanced communications, cloud-based telephony and mobile device management. Each playbook can be found in the CompTIA Winter 2014 Channel Training Catalog.
CompTIA Events and Education Senior Vice President Kelly Ricker told MSPmentor in a email that the non-profit IT organization’s recent catalog includes more than 100 different entries, ranging from guidebooks to virtual workshops.
Ricker said the purpose of the playbooks is to assist IT sales teams with improving “their skills in prospecting activities and sales campaigns for specific technology solutions.
“Education is a primary benefit of CompTIA membership and we are committed to building top-quality educational resources to help our members’ businesses thrive,” she said. “Since their debut earlier this year, sales playbooks have proven to be one of our most popular educational offerings and there has been a high level of interest from our members for us to expand the playbooks into other areas.”
To pinpoint key areas of focus for the catalog, CompTIA relies “heavily on the member community to identify areas where channel companies may benefit from additional resources,” Ricker said.
“It may be something related to day-to-day operation of the business, such as marketing, compensation or partnering,” she said. “Or it may relate to an emerging technology niche where there are business opportunities for channel companies.”
CompTIA offered a new certification last month for IT professionals engaged in the delivery and management of mobility services.
