Cloud-Based BDR Vendor Axcient Beefs Up Executive Team

Cloud-based data and application uptime vendor Axcient has added two new members to its executive team. Former PayPal top engineer Asim Razzaq has joined Axcient as VP of engineering and GreenRoad marketing executive Eric Weiss (pictured) has joined as VP of marketing. Here are the details.

Razzaq built and ran the engineering team responsible for the PayPal Platform which supported more than 70,000 developers and more than $350 million in payments volume per years. Before that he managed development at QuickArrow (acquired by NetSuite), a professional services automation platform.

Weiss served as SVP of marketing and of worldwide global operations for GreenRoad, helping to grow the company from $1 million to $30 million in two years. Before his time at GreenRoad, Weiss was responsible for building a $100 million plus cloud division at Covad.  He also founded ITSC and led the company through its IPO, growing revenue to $350 in four years.

“Asim and Eric both bring expertise in rapidly building and scaling platform-based service companies at a global level, and creatively solving complex problems,” said Axcient CEO Justin Moore, in a prepared statement. “With Asim and Eric’s leadership, we have the right executive team to drive the technology platform and marketing ecosystem needed for the company to rocket to the top of the multi-billion dollar data protection industry.”
