Channel Partner Program Roundup: IDdriven, Unitrends, Cohesity
Howdy partners! This week we’ve got some top-shelf channel news from our friends at IDdriven, Unitrends and Cohesity for your reading pleasure.
IDdriven: Identity and access management solution developer IDdriven launched its global IDdriven Partner Network on Wednesday alongside the release of its flagship identity management as a service offering.
IDdriven was founded in 2013 by several Identity Access Management veterans including Arend Verweij, Remy de Vries and Geurt van Wijk, according to the press release. This week marks both the company’s official launch as well as the launch of its first IMaaS offering.
“My team and I spent 24 months engineering a product that we felt encompassed and addressed all of the technical elements currently missing from IDaaS solutions on the market,” said Arend Verweij, CEO of IDdriven, in a statement. “We offer scalable pricing, access control based on company role and location, along with analytics and reporting on use and threats. There features, among others, give our company a massive competitive edge in a crowded marketplace.”
Unitrends: Business recovery solution provider Unitrends launched its new partner program on Tuesday, which seeks to streamline partner engagement by eliminating formal partner tiers.
Going forward, partners are eligible to receive rewards for their service based on a 5-star rating system, according to the announcement. Partners earn points, which then unlock stars, based on sales, participation in marketing and training programs and through a number of other tasks, Unitrends said. The more stars partners earn, the more rewards will become available.
“We operate on a pure channel sales model, so establishing lasting, symbiotic relationships with our partners is crucial to growing our business,” said Mike Dalton, Unitrends’ senior vice president of Worldwide Channels and International Field Operations. “We’ve architected our new partner program to create a unique and personalized experience for each and every partner that acknowledges their individual value and the role they play as a Unitrends’ evangelist.”
Cohesity: Hyperconverged secondary storage solution provider Cohesity announced its new partner program this week in conjunction with the appointment of Joe Barnes as global channel chief.
Barnes, who’s official title is head of Worldwide Channel Strategy, is the former west U.S. regional and divisional partner manager at EMC, according to the announcement. He will be in charge of running Cohesity’s new channel program, called the Revolution Partner Network, which currently includes more than 30 partners.
"I'm thrilled to join Cohesity at such an important juncture," Barnes said. "We are focused on continuing to help businesses make dramatic cuts to the cost and complexity of managing their data storage, and I look forward to getting our channel partners what they need to be successful including training and access to our engineers."
