Managed Services: 7 Blogs MSPmentor Didn't Write, April 13

The MSPmentor team is preparing to cover six technology conferences next week. Five of them are listed here... plus we've also got our eyes on the Microsoft Management Summit. But before our team runs to the airport, here are seven managed services blogs and MSP news stories that MSPmentor didn't have a chance to write for the week ending April 13, 2012.

7. ConnectWise Consulting: The consulting team continues to expand at ConnectWise. What does that mean? I hope to be back later today with some analysis.

6. A Lab in the Cloud: Some new developments are coming from Doyenz. But before you look ahead, keep an eye on the company's existing virtual lab efforts in the cloud. I'll explain more about that virtual lab effort soon on Talkin' Cloud, our sister site.

5. LabTech 2012 Beta Tester Reaction: Liberty Technology and White Glove Technologies, two growth-minded MSPs, have been beta testing LabTech 2012, a forthcoming RMM (remote monitoring and management) upgrade from LabTech Software. They will share beta insights during our April 18 webcast. Yes, LabTech is sponsoring and CEO Matt Nachtrab will be in the house to offer his perspectives as well.

4. Cisco OnPlus Service Update?: At next week's Cisco Partner Summit in San Diego, we'll be watching and listening for Cisco Online Service updates. OnPlus is a remote network monitoring service for MSPs.

3. Microsoft's Big Win: The company's biggest cloud win to date involves India. But the folks at Google are celebrating major Google Apps momentum in Small Business.

2. Top 50 Cloud Services Providers: Whether you're a cloud-centric MSP or a pure cloud services provider, make sure you participate in our Talkin' Cloud 50 survey, which ends on April 27. We'll announce the world's top 50 cloud services providers -- including VARs and MSPs mixed in -- shortly thereafter.

1. Career Changers: Some good friends have made channel-oriented career changes that might be announced soon. Best wishes to those on the move. Onward and upward.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading MSPmentor and our sister sites. We continue to enjoy the conversation with you.
