Business Continuity: QuorumLabs Gets New Channel Chief
QuorumLabs, providers of all-in-one business continuity applications, gets a new channel chief today in the form of Chris Moore, an industry veteran whose new job as senior VP of sales and business development will oversee the company’s efforts to reorganize and re-prioritize its partner program. I had the chance to chat with Moore briefly ahead of the announcement. Here’s the skinny:
Moore, who said his most recent previous gig was at KACE before its acquisition by Dell in early 2010, was attracted to QuorumLabs because of the strength of its solution and the company’s vision for the marketplace.
“It’s easy to underestimate how hard it is to make something simple,” Moore said, but added he believes QuorumLabs has hit the sweet spot with its onQ line of appliances that do everything from replication to deduplication and snapshots.
The value proposition to the channel is obvious, Moore said: By hosting the technology themselves, MSPs and other channel pros can extend all the benefits of the appliance to their customers. But Moore said his first priority in his new role will be to figure out exactly what QuorumLabs wants from its channel partners.
Part of the company’s partner program reorganization includes being more selective. While Moore had nothing but kind words for the channel partners he inherited, he said going forward QuorumLabs will develop partnerships with strategic marketing in mind. But together, Moore believes the company and its partners can find success.
