Actel Chooses Frontier for Network Services,
Applications

Mobile, Ala.-based Actel Integrated Communications Inc. has awarded Rochester,
N.Y.-based Frontier Communications, a division of Frontier Corp., a three-year, $7 million
network applications agreement.

Frontier is supplying Actel with network services, toll-free and calling card
applications, providing Actel’s customers direct access to Frontier’s network, which has
been enhanced for management ease by the introduction of uCommand, its web-based network
management tool. uCommand affords wholesale customers control of their networks and
customers by providing real-time, round-the-clock access to Frontier’s service management
and switching systems.

Actel President John Beck says the facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier
(CLEC) and long distance reseller chose Frontier as a wholesale provider because of the
carrier’s "flexibility, network performance and reliable products and services … in
addition to its web-based back-office tools."
