WiC Seeks Nominations for Award Honoring ‘Courageous, Creative’ Women

Women in the Channel (WiC) on Tuesday unveiled the WiC LEAD Award, to be presented annually to celebrate women who are “courageous, creative, collaborative, connected and confident” in advancing channel careers.
The organization is accepting nominations for the WiC LEAD Award through Aug. 31 via an online application. Winners of the inaugural award will be honored at the 14th Women in the Channel WiCConnect Networking Event, 5-8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25, part of Channel Partners Evolution in Austin, Texas.
Nominees must be present to win the award.
“The LEAD Award is the perfect expression of one of Women in the Channel’s founding tenets — elevate each other,” said Hilary Gadda, WiC president and director of the partner program at TPx Communications. “We’re asking our members and the channel community to help us shine a light on the many remarkable women in tech who are not only taking the lead but reaching back to help other females achieve their potential.”
Nominations may come from third parties or candidates themselves. All applicants will be required to demonstrate leadership and innovation in the channel, as well as support, advocacy and mentorship of women in the channel.
Finalists will be selected from among the nominees by a vote of the WiC Board of Directors no later than Sept. 7. Winners will be determined by the WiC membership via online ballot no later than Sept. 15.
