Channel Partner Program Roundup: Atlantis, Guidance Software, Technology Recovery Group
Hey there partners, and welcome back to the roundup. This week we’ve lassoed up some fresh news from Atlantis, Guidance Software and Technology Recovery Group. Let’s get started.
Atlantis: Software-defined storage provider Atlantis has appointed Timm Hoyt as vice president of Worldwide Partner Sales and Alliances, responsible for developing a new partner sales organization.
Prior to joining Atlantis, Hoyt helped HGST complete its acquisition of Skyera, an all-flash storage array provider. He also served in various channel and leadership positions at Brocade.
"Atlantis is at the tipping point in the storage industry—it is clear the 'status quo' for how organizations store and manage their data is no longer a viable option," said Hoyt, in a statement. "Atlantis is disrupting the storage disrupters by combining the proven power and performance of Atlantis USX with the turnkey, radically priced Atlantis HyperScale appliance. I am enthused to lead the best-in-class sales, channel and partner team making that vision a reality."
Guidance Software: Endpoint security provider Guidance Software announced it is a founding member of the Blue Coat Alliance Ecosystem for Endpoint and Detection Response. As a member, Guidance will work to integrate its EnCase security solution with Blue Coat’s portfolio to create a converged cybersecurity solution.
Blue Coat said the combined solution will allow for improved malware detection, automated incident response and faster time to resolution for customers.
“Because so much sensitive data now lives on an organization’s network endpoints, data security approaches must include more than network traffic analysis and antivirus,” said Anthony Di Bello, director of Strategic Partnerships at Guidance Software. “The Blue Coat Endpoint Alliance Ecosystem standardizes the integration of vital pieces of security intelligence from all important control points, and we’re very pleased to be expanding our ongoing partnership with Blue Coat Systems within this Alliance.”
TRG: Mobile managed solutions and service provider Technology Recovery Group was named as Partner of the Year in two separate competitions last month.
The first Partner of the Year Award came from B2M Solutions, an Atlanta-based mobile analytics software company. The second award came courtesy of Global Technology Systems, which honored TRG as its regional partner of the year for 2014.
That’s all for this week, but we'll be back next Thursday with more great partner news. Until then, stay safe out there.
