Vertical Market Managed Services: Appia Sold On Real Estate
Here’s a slightly different spin on the real estate vertical. Appia Communications Inc. is promoting its managed services and telecom services to owners of office buildings and campuses throughout Indianapolis, Ind. The pitch: Appia claims its telecom services can cut telecom bills by about 50 percent, allowing landlords and building owners to potentially reduce tenants’ cost per square foot.
Appia’s services include include ISDN PRI, hosted and SIP trunking-based voice over IP, private networking via MPLS, video conferencing, virtual desktop services, and more. Admittedly, telecom providers and broadband providers have targeted commercial and residential real estate operators for decades.
But we’re watching Appia because the company has landed on our annual MSPmentor 100 list, tracking the world’s top 100 MSPs. Based in Traverse City, Mich., Appia recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Most recently, Appia has been blending virtual desktop and hosted services, branded as RightOffice.
We’ll be watching to see if Indianapolis-based office complexes embrace the Appia pitch.
