Head In The Clouds? M5 Networks Wants That Idea
M5 Networks, which was recently acquired by ShoreTel, has launched an initiative to improve its services: a suggestion box. Why is M5 Networks looking for a huge amount of feedback? It’s all wrapped up neat and tidy in this blog…
M5 Networks isn’t just calling this the M5 Networks suggestion box, it’s “M5 Ideas,” and it’s designed to be a “highly-managed digital suggestion box,” that can allow M5 Network end-users to talk about what they’re looking for from their cloud provider. The hope is that this program will offer a closer look at what trends are driving customer purchases and more specifically, what’s evolving out of the VoIP world.
Since the suggestion box will be “highly-managed,” suggestions need to fall into the following categories, each with their own discussion forum for voting and rating ideas:
- Product or Feature Enhancements
- M5 Portal Suggestions or Requests
- Customer Service Suggestions
- New Product Concepts
Jeff Valentine, M5 Networks senior VP of product marketing, believes that this program is a “…corporate democracy in action, allowing users to vote for or against ideas.” Valentine hopes that novel ideas will “bubble to the top,” and help M5 Networks more quickly engineer the tools their customers want.
