ScienceLogic Introduces Free AWS Cloud Visualization Platform for MSPs
IT monitoring software provider ScienceLogic today unveiled MapMyCloud.net, a platform that allows managed service providers (MSPs) to analyze prospects’ Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud resources in real-time. The platform lets MSPs automatically map and visualize AWS cloud resources.
MapMyCloud runs within the AWS cloud as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) and enables users “to see the health, availability and performance of every single IT resource.”
ScienceLogic said MapMyCloud is a web-based platform that requires no installation, and its features include:
- Intelligent mapping capabilities
- Relationship management capabilities
- Reporting history
“Today, it is hard for organizations to see what they have in the cloud, what is being used and what is wasting money, as they spin off resources and don’t shut them down. We wanted the world to know that there is an easier way — that you can visually see your clouds and make decisions fast to solve problems, save money and improve business uptime,” a ScienceLogic spokesperson told MSPmentor.
Cloud systems management market is growing
MapMyCloud allows MSPs to evaluate prospects’ AWS clouds, and as the cloud systems management market expands, these service providers could explore new opportunities in this segment.
A recent International Data Corp (IDC) report revealed worldwide revenue for the cloud systems management software market rose nearly 49 percent on a year-over-year basis to $1.8 billion in 2013.
IDC researchers also pointed that they expect this market to continue to grow.
“The worldwide cloud systems management software competitive market showed very strong growth driven by increasing enterprise adoption of private and hybrid cloud strategies and rising cloud services provider interest in advanced monitoring, analytics and automation to differentiate provider offerings,” IDC researchers wrote in their report.
