GridVision IT Management Platform Goes GA
GridVision has made its disruptively priced IT monitoring and management service generally available. The company launched it publicly last week in conjunction with the AWS re:Invent conference in San Francisco. Here are the details.
But first some background. New York-based GridVision’s multi-tenant platform has been in beta, and MSPmentor first covered it last month. It is designed for small- and mid-sized (SMB) businesses and for managed service providers (MSPs).
The software-as-a-service platform is currently available here: http://www.grid-vision.com. It provides monitoring and management of Windows-based endpoints and servers as well as cloud-based implementations of these servers and popular applications such as Microsoft Office 365. Windows Surface tablets are supported.
Pricing is as follows:
- The community edition is free of charge and is for those with fewer than 100 users.
- The Pro Edition, which is multi-tenant and aimed at MSPs, is 50 cents per device per month and 25 cents per user per month.
GridVision executives told MSPmentor that the platform would be competitive with other RMM tools, primarily those based in the cloud, but that MSPs may want to consider implementing it in addition to their current RMM tools to extend their existing functionality and because the platform is so inexpensive. While the company does not currently integrations with professional services automation vendors such as ConnectWise, Autotask, and TigerPaw, it said its RESTful APIs make such integrations possible and more news may be coming in Q1.
