Coraid Hires New Sales Leader, Promotes Tech Support VP
Ethernet storage company provider Coraid is rounding out its executive team with a new VP of sales and a new VP to head up the company's Technical Assistance Center. The appointments follow the appointment of a new CEO, Dave Kresse, in September 2013.
Keith Carpenter will be joining Coraid as its vice president of worldwide sales, bringing more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in the information technology market, most recently working for Virident Systems as its vice president of sales, Americas. He also co-founded and served as vice president of sales at Cache IQ, a company that was acquired by NetApp in November 2012 when Carpenter worked there. He also held sales and leadership positions with Auspex Systems and EMC Corporation.
Brandt Mackey, an employee of Coraid since 2009, has been promoted to vice president of the Coraid Technical Assistance Center, and he joins the executive team. Previous to joining Coraid, Mackey sold and deployed application virtualization technology for InstallFree, which was acquired by WatchDox, a Dropbox competitor. He also worked with other various technology companies in the field.
"Keith brings a wealth of deep storage experience that will be invaluable to Coraid as we continue our aggressive push into the enterprise and cloud markets," Coraid CEO Dave Kresse said in a prepared statement. "Brandt has built a world class support team with deep expertise partnering with customers to successfully deploy large, complex clouds."
Coraid offers various business solutions, including server virtualization, public/private cloud and backup and disaster recovery (BDR); and industry solutions.
