AT&T Wireless CEO Retiring
The president and CEO of AT&Ts wireless division, Stan Sigman, said Thursday he is retiring after 42 years with the company.
He will be replaced by Ralph de la Vega, a former COO of the wireless unit, effective immediately. Sigman will stay with the company through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition, the company said.
Sigman started working for the telecom giant in 1965 when it was Southwestern Bell Telephone. Recently he helped bring Apple Inc.s iPhone exclusively to AT&T and rebrand Cingular into the unit.
