Happy Thursday, and thanks for stopping by for your weekly dose of channel partner news. This week we've got the latest news from Logicalis, Metalogix and Westell Technologies.
Logicalis: IT solutions and managed services provider Logicalis US has expanded its Optimal Support for Cisco (OSC) offering to include two new levels of support, broken down into basic and premium tiers.
OSC is a Logicalis solution that gives the company’s Cisco (CSCO) customers the same support offered through Cisco’s Smart Net Total Care through Logicalis’ in-house support team. The basic service includes all of the features found in Logicalis’ OSC and is available to all Cisco customers, while the premium service combines the OSC offering with Logicalis’ monitoring and managed services capabilities, according to the announcement.
“Logicalis’ OSC program has been custom-designed for our Cisco clients who love Smart Net Total Care, but want a higher level of personalization when they call for support,” says Mike Johnson, Director of Collaboration and Networked Solutions at Logicalis US, in a statement.
Metalogix: Unified management software provider Metalogix has revamped its web-based Metalogix Academy training and certification series to allow partners to complete courses in a modular fashion.
The new program will provide students with a more interactive learning experience, according to Metalogix, with features including "ask the instructor" sessions. Upon completion of the full series of Metalogix Academy courses, participants will receive a 20 percent transferrable discount on any additional Metalogix software product as well as access to the Metalogix Customer Community on LinkedIn.
"We've designed our certification platform from the ground up to provide the quality training customers and partners want in the way they want to consume it—in a flexible, on-demand program that can be accessed at anytime, from anywhere," said Steven Murphy, CEO of Metalogix.
Westell Technologies: In-building wireless, site management and plant solutions provider Westell Technologies has named Mike Moran as senior vice president and chief technology officer, responsible for driving product development, program management and development technology.
Moran has more than 25 years of experience in various industries including technology and innovation, product marketing, business development and more, according to the announcement. Before joining Westell, he held several executive-level positions at Tellabs and was also chief architect at McAfee.
“We are excited to have Mike as part of the executive team, as he has an exceptionally broad and deep technical background, including hardware, software, networking, security, and mobile infrastructure,” said Tom Gruenwald, president and CEO of Westell Technologies. “His experience working with other high growth companies, industry knowledge, and understanding of markets, applications and technological trends will help us execute our strategic growth initiatives.”
That's all for now folks. We hope to see you back here next week, but until then, have a great Friday and stay safe out there.
