Even in times when the IT employment market doesn't look so bright, the MSPmentor job board lists a number of openings in the IT field in management, sales, and technology. And right now one firm is reporting that the market doesn't look so bright. Janco Associates Inc., a management consulting firm that focuses on management information systems, reports that the number of IT jobs shrunk by 6,600 in September, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. Additionally, the number of jobs added in August was adjusted down from 12,400 to 3,200. These numbers are staggering to those of us in the IT industry. But here's the good news.
Janco has found that while many CIOs are cautious of hiring in 2013, they believe that overall hiring will improve significantly in 2013. These CIOs are budgeting accordingly. And if you are looking to add the right skill set to your resume, many CIOs are searching for candidates with skills to meet the demands of mobile computing.
Here's a look at some of the opportunities posted on the MSPmentor job board. Are there job titles you would like to see more of? Fields would you like to see less of? Let us know in the comment section.
