Paxton Access Solutions has signed on with Ingram Micro in an exclusive distribution relationship to provide Paxton Access’ security offerings to Ingram’s North American channels. Read on for the details …
Under the distribution agreement, Ingram Micro’s Physical Security Business Unit will sell and support Paxton Access’ entire portfolio of control systems, including IP and wireless security controllers, server- and browser-based security software solutions, proximity sensors, “special readers” and the all-important keypad.
All of these tools are necessary but are often overlooked when selling traditional IT hardware, and Ingram Micro wants its reseller customers to start incorporating physical security devices in their the traditional IT sales. Channel partners now have an opportunity to cash in on new or existing customers and marketplaces, namely health care, public sector and even the traditional enterprise and SMB markets. Although the most likely to need these security measures is governmental organizations, security control — both local or remote — is becoming an increasing priority, according to Ingram Micro.
Other neat tools include options for time and attendance graphical security maps, photo badges and even iPhone apps.
Ingram Micro’s previous physical security focus, coupled with pre- and post-sales support was part of the reason Paxton Access Solutions chose the distributor. Paxton also believes Ingram Micro can help align these devices with partners, helping resellers find opportunities in vertical markets while also creating new sources of revenue with old customers.
