ftopia Launches SaaS File-Sharing Hub Partner Program
Cloud-delivered file-sharing hub solution vendor (and lower case letter enthusiast) ftopia has launched a reseller program — and ftopia offering partners a 40 percent commission rate as they try to build channel buzz. Here’s the scoop.
The ftopia namesake SaaS solution is built around establishing virtual private workspaces to upload and update files, keeping teams all on the same page and giving control over access levels to make sure that the right users can access the right data. Moreover, since it’s all done from the browser, it’s accessible from anywhere, according to the ftopia website.
That 40% commission rate I mentioned above “applies to the total revenue generated for all customers signed up during the launch, including subscription renewals,” according to ftopia’s press release. They’re positioning their service as a value-add service for SMB customers, as ftopia says their solution can complement or even replace file servers and FTP sites on a network.
Many cloud storage vendors look to offer the same kind of access control and anywhere availability that ftopia mentions, so I’m not sure ftopia’s focus on collaboration sets them enough apart from companies like Google. All the same, what they do have seems fairly slick, and it’ll be VARs who decide ftopia’s value.
