IndependenceIT Officially Announces DaaS on Google Cloud Platform for MSPs
IndependenceIT channel partners can now take advantage of the company’s integration with Google (GOOG) Compute Engine infrastructure services.
Even though the Allentown, Pennsylvania-based desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) provider officially made the announcement this week, MSPmentor first broke the story in April, after speaking with independenceIT President Jim Lippie in an exclusive interview.
Through the Cloud Workspace Suite, MSPs can deploy workspaces in the cloud, not just desktops. The platform provides Microsoft (MSFT) Windows desktops, business and productivity applications and a complete back-office system to end users.
With the Google-enabled Cloud Workspace Suite, IT service providers will no longer require an experienced IT support team to deploy DaaS, the company said.
The new deployment option allows for the automated spin-up of virtual machines and caching within the framework of an active directory organizational structure, pre-built. This enables a service provider to administer when a deployment scenario occurs.
Lippie said the company now offers deployments all over the world with various providers, including EarthLink (ELNK), Microsoft Azure and Artisan.
