WPC 2015: Microsoft Opens Cloud Partner Program More
Microsoft (MSFT) has opened up its programs, giving its Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partners, free rein to offer all the company’s solutions and services through the program.
The new rules let CSP partners offer the company's entire portfolio of Microsoft solutions and services, and create custom offerings for their end user customers, according to Gavriella Schuster, general manager of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group. She made the announcement at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) 2015 in Orlando today.
“The biggest value is partners can create their own services and sell as a single solution,” she said. “It opens door for partners to create all kinds of services and to partner with cloud ISVs to build new solutions.”
Microsoft introduced the Cloud Solution Partner program at last year’s WPC, letting partners sell Microsoft Office 365 and other cloud applications under one bill. Microsoft made the changes following compliants from channel partners that they were being cut out of Microsoft's cloud productivity suite sales because Microsoft billed direct and owned the customer paper.
