Microsoft Windows Azure Offering Cloud ISVs $250 for Apps
There’s subtlety. There’s marketing. And then there’s the Microsoft Windows Azure team’s new plan to pay cloud software developers no less than $250 to develop applications for their PaaS offering. Any application that passes muster and gets verified as compatible between now and June 21, 2011, earns the developer a $250 bounty.
There are caveats, of course: Only the first application a developer submits counts. And applications submitted before April 15, 2011, aren’t eligible. But otherwise, ISVs can send along a screenshot of their accepted application in the Test Tab in Microsoft Platform Ready, and Microsoft’s official blog entry indicates it will send back the cash prize.
