Kaseya Discloses PSA Integration Strategy for MSPs
Kaseya Executive VP Jim Alves is on stage discussing the company’s PSA (professional services automation) integration strategy today at the Kaseya Connect User Conference in Las Vegas. New, Kaseya-built integrations are coming for ConnectWise, Autotask and Tigerpaw Software, Alves said. He also promised attendees — nearly 500 managed services providers — that they would not get caught in an integration debate between Kaseya and PSA software companies.
Alves said Kaseya PSA Integration will support Kaseya 2 on premise and cloud versions linking to ConnectWise on premise, Tigerpaw Software on premise and Autotask in the cloud. It sounds like the ConnectWise integration is coming first. The integrations from Kaseya to PSA platforms will support such areas as:
- alerts and alarms;
- service desk tickets; and
- in version 2, time and billable items.
Alves said Kaseya used its own API and user interface to develop the integration. Also, Alves recommended using Kaseya’s Service Desk software to assist in managing what information flows over to the PSA system.
I captured some of the keynote in an MSPmentor FastChat Video, which will debut later today. Also, I’ll check in with the PSA companies to see if they have any thoughts or reactions to the Kaseya PSA Integration module. Already, PSA software companies offer various integrations to Kaseya. ConnectWise introduced its latest Kaseya iintegration last month. I will also update this article soon to describe when the module is expected to debut.
I believe the module will be free to Kaseya 2 customers. The Kaseya integration for ConnectWise will debut in Q2, with Autotask and Tigerpaw Software integration to debut in Q3, Alves said.
