CTERA Networks Unveils Integration With Parallels Automation Platform
CTERA Networks is now offering provisioning of white-labeled cloud storage services via the Parallels Automation cloud services delivery platform.
The cloud storage services platform company this week announced an integration with Parallels Automation that enables cloud services providers (CSPs) and managed service providers (MSPs) to deliver backup and recovery services, enterprise file sync and share services and disaster recovery and management services using CTERA cloud storage gateways from a single, integrated cloud framework.
“Service providers are urgently looking for purely private file and backup services that can be white-labeled,” Jeff Denworth, CTERA’s senior vice president of marketing, told Talkin’ Cloud. “CTERA is the only company that provides this all from a single platform that can be offered, managed and automated by storage-as-a-service providers.”
CTERA said the integration allows CSPs and MSPs that are using Parallels Automation to sell, provision, manage and bill for CTERA-based offerings, and ultimately, deliver storage-as-a-service offerings in minutes.
Parallels Automation allows for the delivery and consolidation of billing services with several hosted and cloud-based services, including:
- Cisco WebEx.
- McAfee Security.
- Microsoft Office 365.
Denworth noted that CTERA and Parallels have already launched services in conjunction with telecommunications company Portugal Telecom and other service providers as well.

He also said CTERA is exploring ways to ensure it can fully support the consumerization of IT.
“CTERA’s product will evolve rapidly through 2015 to support the consumerization of IT and foster the rapid adoption that CSPs and MSPs need to capitalize on today’s cloud opportunity,” Denworth added. “ÇTERA’s cloud services platform will also be integrated with other aspects of our CSP ecosystem’s portfolio where our partners will offer advanced feature/functionality versus consumer software-as-a-service (SaaS) services and the data sovereignty that our enterprise end customers require.”
