Asigra: How To Succeed In the Crowded Cloud Storage Market
“You + Asigra = OutMarket, OutSell, OutSmart OUR Competition.” Asigra CEO David Farajun and his leadership team delivered that message to MSPs and cloud storage providers attending the fourth annual Asigra Partner Summit here in sunny Toronto. What that boils down to: Asigra aims to help partners succeed by providing a next-generation cloud data protection platform — including endpoint backup for Apple iOS and Google Android devices — with plenty of room for value added services, the company claims.
On the high level, Farajun says Asigra is trying to stay ahead of the curve with Apple iOS and Google Android backup functionality — a necessary step as more and more data is kept in pocket-sized devices.
In addition, Asigra is hyping RS-Consumer, a high-availability mass market cloud storage solution, and better automation for their Cloud License Server, with Farajun promising that a completely web-based version is on its way, further simplifying the purchase of licenses from Asigra.
But the real secret weapon of Asigra’s partner play, says Farajun, is his staff: As the John Williams Superman theme played, the Asigra team took the stage wearing capes emblazoned with the Backup Heroes logo. Basically, Farajun says that Asigra’s expertise plus the MSP’s own expertise plus a huge amount of mutual trust is the key to success in an increasingly crowded cloud storage market.
Stay tuned over the next few days for more updates from the 2011 Asigra Partner Summit, including further details on their new product announcements.
