FileLocker Adds Native Apple Mac OS X Support to File Sharing
Cloud storage software developer Infrascale has added better support for Apple (AAPL) Mac OS X users, enabling them to directly access FileLocker Ultrasafe features and private cloud deployment options.
FileLocker for Mac with native OS X integration enables users to integrate daily work into the FileLocker Platform. Mac users previously had to access FileLocker via a Web interface. Users also can sync an unlimited number of folders from their Mac to the cloud and from the cloud to their Mac or other devices.
Administrators can now also use the device management functionality features for all applications, including Mac applications. IT can now leverage device management functionality for Mac applications, including device-level authorization, IP tracking and remote wipe.
Infrascale CEO Ken Shaw said in a prepared statement that businesses today must be able to service a wide variety of devices and platforms for employees.
“The proliferation of bring your own device (BYOD) demonstrates the need for a single architecture for file-optimized cloud storage with native interfaces for all of a company’s consuming platforms,” he said.
Take a look at the growing file syncing and sharing market, and you’ll find FileLocker to be among the many Dropbox and Box alternatives.
