Lifesize said Lync users can now join meetings hosted on Lifesize Cloud with one click, empowering businesses to provide “easy-to-use video communications.”
“We’re regularly adding functionality to Lifesize Cloud to give our customers what they want. Adding interoperability with Microsoft Lync was a natural step in this evolution,” a Lifesize spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud.
In addition, Lifesize has unveiled other Lifesize Cloud capabilities, including:
40-way group calling.
Browser-based calling via Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
Microsoft Outlook add-in and Google Chrome extension.
New control settings.
Lifesize also has announced new support features such as:
24x7x365 customer service.
Cloud end user course to help IT administrators get their end users coached and trained on how to best use their Lifesize solution.
Lifesize Community that “provides up-to-the-minute information about Lifesize.”
The expanded capabilities of Lifesize Cloud are generally available today, and Lync interoperability and 40-way calling are available to Lifesize Cloud Enterprise Subscription Plan customers.
Businesses can use Lifesize Cloud to host video meetings that are accessible via laptops and Android or iOS smartphones and tablets, and the service could help Lifesize extend its reach in the video conferencing services market as well.
Craig Malloy, Lifesize’s CEO, said “the demand for cloud-based video communications is exploding,” which is reflected by the demand for Lifesize Cloud.
Lifesize launched its Lifesize Cloud video conferencing service in May; today, more than 1,000 companies have subscribed to the service.
Also, a Global Industry Analysts (GIA) report that was released last month revealed cloud-based video conferencing services are becoming more popular worldwide, and the market for these services could be worth $2.9 billion by 2020.
