Zoom Video Communications has expanded its global channel partner program with the launch of a new referral program, and partnerships with master agents Avant, Intelisys, Pax8 and Telarus.

The referral program marks the first time Zoom’s channel partners have an opportunity to take Zoom Phone to market.

Zoom says the program offers master agents a number of partner benefits and operational efficiencies, including: access to represent Zoom’s entire product suite; ongoing commission on all of Zoom’s products for the life of the customer; simplified and streamlined sales engagement; and no-cost tools and resources to ensure partner success.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

Zoom’s Laura Padilla

Laura Padilla, Zoom‘s head of global business development and channel, tells Channel Partners that with her company’s focus on Zoom Phone, it needed to evolve the channel partner community to include the master agent community, who have the competency selling UCaaS solutions.

“Zoom Phone was primarily a direct sales motion before we launched this program,” she said. “In addition to master agents, VARs, A/V integrators and consultants can also take part in the program.”

The new referral program will be a cornerstone of Zoom’s video-first UC platform go-to-market initiative, which is designed to cultivate “successful partnerships” by educating and allowing partners to develop, promote and market their Zoom-based services and solutions, according to the company.

“We spoke with several master agents, current partners, customers and industry experts to help us craft our program,” Padilla said. “It will now open up our complete platform story – including Zoom Phone – for partners to sell. With our enhanced training and partner portal, as well as the addition of more channel managers and marketing support, Zoom is excited to grow this community.”
