Telecom master agency (TCG) has announced multiple hires and suppliers over the past few weeks.

Despite a pandemic-related recession that has seen massive layoffs across many industries, the Florida-based company is bringing on new personnel and investing in new vendors.

TCG’s Brandon Baker

For one, TCG announced it hired Brandon Baker as its new national channel manager. Baker said in a LinkedIn post that he’ll use his 12 years of IT/telecommunications experience to help partners build revenue.

“As your TCG channel manager, I am very responsive as I know how important deals are to you, your company and the satisfaction of your client,” Baker said.

Baker worked almost seven years at Comcast Business in a variety of positions. He also founded Ignite Technology, an agency that sold cloud and telecom solutions. He most recently worked at OnCloud.

TCG’s Ed Kane

In addition, TCG appointed Ed Kane as its director of national expansion earlier this summer. Kane most recently worked as a channel manager for Net2Phone. His previous employers also include Mitel, Broadvoice, ANPI and telephony partners.

New Vendors

The master agency has added several new suppliers in 2020. Most recently the company announced a partnership with Sky Data Vault, which offers business managed disaster recovery as a service and backup as a service.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

TCG’s Dan Pirigyi

TCG partner Dan Pirigyi praised the vendor’s ability to quickly configure and install managed cloud services.

“Sky Data Vault is different than others in that they do all of the heavy lifting for a customer looking to go to the cloud,” Pirigyi wrote on LinkedIn.

TCG teamed up with Peerless Network, which operates its own network and provides cloud PBX and SIP trunking services. TCG also signed managed SD-WAN provider Halo Global,

The firm signed Adaptiv Networks, FirstLight and other supplier partners earlier this year.

In other news, TCG earned a big accomplishment with Comcast Business. The cable company congratulated TCG for earning $3 million in monthly billing. John Lizana, Comcast Business’ senior director of national partner programs, broke out Photoshop to honor TCG on LinkedIn.
