After officially launching earlier this month, Hewlett Packard Enterprise is rolling out its first set of offerings designed to help small and midsize business partners grow their sales and reduce the cost of doing business with the new company.
Each of the tailor-made SMB solutions in the Just Right IT Program share the common goal of making end user deployment and management simpler for small business owners, according to HPE.
Among its new solutions, HPE is expanding its ProLiant 10 series Compute portfolio with the addition of the ProLiant DL20 Gen9 and ProLiant ML30 Gen9. While both are designed to balance memory, storage and performance in an SMB-friendly pricing model, the DL20 is being marketed as the entry-level server, with the ML30 serving as a standalone unit. Both versions are expected to launch as of December 1.
For SMBs who wish to increase their overall productivity, HPE is integrating two offerings in its new Flex Solution category. The Flex Solution for My First Server is a starter-level offering that combines server, storage, networking and financial services in a single device, while the Flex Solution for Secure Encryption features additional protection for data at rest stored in hard disk drives, solid state drives or cache memory.
“Small and midsize businesses have to embrace major enterprise technology trends but with a fraction of the resources and budget,” said Doug Oathout, vice president of Channel Partner Alliances and OEM Marketing at HPE, in a statement. “Hewlett Packard Enterprise is launching new tools that will allow our SMB customers to easily and affordably adapt to the changing technology landscape without compromising quality, efficiency and flexibility.”
Small and midsize customers can purchase and compare the new solutions through HPE’s Small Business Marketplace, which is expected to launch as a pilot program in the United States before the end of the year. The Marketplace is expected to be available in additional regions beginning in 2016, according to the announcement.
And for those worried about how they will pay for the new solutions, Hewlett Packard Enterprise also debuted the HPE Subscription for Servers program, which allows customers to pay for their solutions on a monthly basis. Bundles can be customized further to meet specific business needs within the program.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP, Inc. officially became two separate companies as of November 1 following a brief transition period. However, the companies have reportedly been operating independently of one another as earlier as August, according to Meg Whitman, CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and chairwoman of HP Inc.
