Tech Data, Advantech Team on Azure Vertical IoT Services

PRESS RELEASE — CLEARWATER, Fla. (July 18, 2018) – Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Advantech, a leader in trusted, innovative embedded and automation products and solutions for IoT. The addition of Advantech to the Tech Data portfolio extends its end-to-end capabilities and vertical market reach, and will further equip resellers in the U.S. and Canada with solutions preconfigured for Microsoft Azure and related Microsoft services such as Power BI that address a wide array of applications across diverse industries.

The addition of Advantech is already making an impact. Tech Data IoT recently supported the design, build and deployment for an industrial use case within the professional carwash industry by streamlining the partner’s services offerings and optimizing recurring revenue structure, all while utilizing the Advantech WISE-PaaS solution.
Through Tech Data’s distinct, consultative approach to IoT, end customers can benefit from the company’s unique IoT ecosystem and knowledge base, while resellers can take advantage of the relationships within the community to build new business opportunities. Preconfigured solutions include Advantech Edge Intelligence Servers, which offer a simple industrial solution for channel partners to build up edge-to-cloud applications with integrated hardware, plus software that is pre-configured for Azure.
