From expansion to integration, our latest MSP news roundup highlights recent engagements within the industry.
SolarWinds has opened a new data center in Europe, expanding the global reach of its full-stack SaaS. Located in Germany, the data center will allow more AWS customers to access SolarWinds Observability. They will be able to manage highly complex hybrid and multi-cloud IT environments.
SolarWinds’ Rohini Kasturi
Rohini Kasturi is SolarWinds chief product officer.
“SolarWinds Observability was built from the ground up to deliver increased visibility, intelligence, efficiency and the fastest possible return on investment,” Kasturi said. “With the launch of this new data center, availability in AWS Marketplace and our new AWS ISV Accelerate program membership, we’re positioned better than ever to provide more customers around the world our industry-leading observability solution on-premises or in the cloud — wherever the customer is on their journey.”
The unified SaaS offering features powerful machine learning and AIOps capabilities designed to ensure the availability and performance of a business’s networks, applications and infrastructures. In addition, the solution offers expedited anomaly detection, identification and resolution to help ensure service-level and user experience satisfaction objectives are met.
GreatAmerica Financial Services has successfully integrated with ConnectWise. This makes it easier for equipment buyers to submit a credit application from within ConnectWise CPQ.
Technology service provider (TSP) end customers get approval for financing before the quote gets approved. This eliminates potential delays or loss of business. Previously, TSPs had to submit applications much later in the process through the GreatAmerica portal or through ConnectWise PSA.
ConnectWise’s Parker Trojanowski
Parker Trojanowski is director of ConnectWise product management.
“ConnectWise is excited to offer this streamlined solution through GreatAmerica and ConnectWise CPQ, making it easier and faster for buyers to submit applications without delays,” Trojanowski said. “This small, incremental change can make a big difference when customers are ready to make a purchase.”
MSPs managing Apple devices charge twice as much as MSPs that don’t. This is according to Addigy, which released its 2023 state of the Apple device management industry report for MSPs. It surveyed 480 MSP professionals worldwide on Apple device management pricing, managing Apple devices and the growth of Apple devices in the workplace.
Managing Apple devices creates a new line of business for MSPs to offer at premium prices. According to the report, they also generate more in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
Addigy’s Jason Dettbarn
Jason Dettbarn is founder and CEO of Addigy.
“Given the unique complexities of managing and securing Apple devices in the workplace, MSPs can easily charge a premium for these services without worrying about customers pushing back,” Dettbarn said. “In our experience, businesses that buy Apple endpoints expect to pay a premium for managing and securing, as the devices are priced higher than their competitors and require an elevated level of service.”
The survey found that the use of Apple devices in the workplace continues to grow, driving more revenue for MSPs embracing the iPhone giant.
Cascadeo renewed its membership in the AWS managed service provider partner program. This marks Cascadeo’s eighth year in the program.
The AWS MSP partner program recognizes and validates AWS partners like Cascadeo with a proven track record and experience. To achieve the AWS MSP designation, AWS partners need to complete an extensive independent audit. This ensures their business health and technical capabilities meet a high bar.
Jared Reimer is Cascadeo president and CTO.
“Cascadeo is a cloud-first transformation and managed services provider. We have been an AWS MSP partner since the program’s launch, helped design the very first audit framework for MSPs, and continue to be a leader in the industry with our services offerings and the cascadeo.io platform, which underpins our MSP operations and supports AWS products and services like Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon DevOps Guru,” said Reimer. “AWS has been an incredible partner and instrumental in the growth and success of our organization over the past decade.”
