HP is launching iQuote, a quick way for distributors and resellers to obtain accurate quotes that factor in a slew of variables, from pricing based on product availability to running promotions for both customers and partners. Read on for the details …
The idea is simple: Make the pre-sale easy and accurate, and a sale will follow. Cut the time needed for pre-sales to increase the number of pre-sales. Quick and accurate quotes also could help a partner be more nimble, potentially leading to better and bigger deals. According to HP, the vendor simply is helping resellers inject “the value channel partners can provide” into bigger and better deals.
But HP didn’t concoct iQuote all by itself. ChannelCentral.net worked with HP to create iQuote, and ChannelCentral is managing the entire back-end for HP. HP servers, networking and other related services including printers and supplies will be a part of iQuote’s database, in addition to select ISV products.
HP distributors will need to buy a subscription from ChannelCentral to obtain access to HP’s iQuote. After that, distributors can use iQuote standalone or integrate it into their existing configuration tools. Synnex has already signed up to provide the iQuote service.
