One of the largest IT distributors (also known as distis) is trying to go public, and one of the largest technology services distributors (also known as TSDs) bought another company.

There’s plenty of action going on in the world of distribution. Consolidation continues in the TSD space, with Telarus landing another Florida-based brokerage. The disti space, which by some accounts has already gone through much of that consolidation, will likely see Ingram Micro file for an IPO. And one company is working hard to completely blur the lines between the agency and VAR worlds.

In the meantime, distributors continue to sign new suppliers, expand geographically, launch new programs and vie for awards.
