Goliath Technologies this week announced it has acquired TransformaTech, an Exton, Pennsylvania-based monitoring-as-a-service (MaaS) provider.

TransformaTech CEO Bill Karounos also will become Goliath Technologies’ vice president of technical operations.

“Identifying market trends early and reacting with technology solutions has always been a hallmark of our company, and virtualization, cloud computing and monitoring-as-a-service were no exception,” Karounos said in a prepared statement. “Now being part of Goliath Technologies, we will have additional resources and capabilities to realize our vision relative to offering MaaS to a larger base of customers.”

TransformaTech’s MaaS is a managed service that delivers alerts based on key metrics, while Goliath Technologies provides IT operations software to address the challenges typically associated with deploying virtual server and virtual desktop infrastructures.

Thomas Charlton, Goliath Technologies’ CEO, said his company will now offer MaaS to its customers.

“The acquisition of TransformaTech will allow us to immediately offer MaaS to our customers because TransformaTech has the expertise, infrastructure and business model in place to support customers,” Charlton said.

All TransformaTech employees will join Goliath Technologies as part of the agreement.

A Goliath Technologies spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
