Enterprise IP Phone Training for $1.80?
The VAR Guy has a confession: He barely knows how to use the IP phone sitting on his desk. Basic features like call forwarding and voice conferencing are complete mysteries to him. It sounds pathetic, but there are thousands of IP phone users just like him. Small business and enterprises often don’t have the time or money to offer IP phone training. And users like The VAR Guy are too lazy to seek out phone instructions on their own.
Perhaps 4What Interactive can answer the call for help. The company has announced an online training service for Cisco IP phones. The so-called VoIPTrainer offers unlimited training for as low as $150 per month. The fee covers an unlimited number of users.
The VAR Guy can’t resist the opportunity to do some quick math: At $1,800 per year, the service costs about $180 for 10 users, $18 for 100 users or $1.80 for 1,000 users. Talk about economies of scale.
The VAR Guy can’t endorse the system because he hasn’t given it a try. Plus, his IP phone is from Nortel—not Cisco. But maybe if we all called 4What Interactive, they’d extend their services to support non-Cisco phones. If only The VAR Guy knew how to conference you all in for the call.
