CHANNEL PARTNERS The Technology Channel Association (TCA) (Booth #722) has announced that five more of its member companies have adopted its Certified Telecommunications Professional (CTP) program as their core standard training program, accrediting a combined 13 employees.

The new CTP program designees span five different companies and include six from TBI; two each from Aligned Communications and Black Box Network Services; and one each from ConvergenceOne TeleCom, Comsource Communications and CDW.

Our members are increasingly seeing the value of embracing CTP as the core training standard for their organization,” said Dany Bouchedid, TCA president and CEO of COLOTRAQ. As more agents in the industry are certified through our program, vendor confidence in their expertise increases leading to overall growth of the indirect channel.”

To become certified, candidates must pass a relatively technical exam that measures proficiency in various telecom industry categories including voice communications, industry history, Internet applications, telecommunications administration, core telecommunications concepts, data communications, network security/management and agent business best practices.

The CTP program is the first industry trade association-sponsored certification program designed for indirect sales agents; it represents the first critical step to build an industry standard around technical concepts and business practices.  This certification verifies not only product and services application knowledge, but also validates the education, technical expertise and work experience of individuals so designated. CTP program applicants must be members of TCA.

The entire list of CTP program graduates to date is available on TCAs website.
