Nortel to Get Another Earful From Laid-Off UK Workers

Nortel Networks Corp. (NT) hasn’t heard the last from incensed laid-off workers in the UK.

The ex-employees, who were laid off without notice or severance (referred to as “redundancy pay” in England) two months ago, plan to rally once again, this time at the London and Belfast offices of Ernst & Young. Ernst & Young serves as the bankrupt Nortel’s administrator and the fired workers say they’ll protest on Friday for their rights to compensation.

Nortel’s European headquarters are located in Maidenhead, England.
