Two XO Communications alumni are reuniting at MegaPath.

MegaPath's Josh RedickJosh Redick and Tom Rancel recently joined MegaPath as channel directors for the Northeast and Southeast, respectively.

The two new hires, who both have an extensive background in telecommunications and the channel, will lead recruitment, enablement and revenue in their partner regions. They will report to Rob McCarthy, vice president of channel sales.

“At MegaPath, we believe our partner community is our most important distribution channel,” McCarthy said. “Josh and Tom both bring a wealth of industry experience and trusted partner relationships to MegaPath. We are excited to welcome Josh and Tom to the team and we anticipate they will bring tremendous value to our channel community and deliver immediate results.”

Redick and Rancel worked at Telesphere together, in addition to working at Clearwire from 2010 to 2011. But prior to that, they spent several years at XO, where Redick was a general manager and Rancel was a senior indirect sales manager.{ad}

He and Rancel will work out of New York. MegaPath supports more than 4,500 master agents, VARs and other solution providers.

“MegaPath has a strong commitment to its partners combined with the reliable solutions and support that I can stand behind,” Rancel said. “I look forward to working closely with our partners in the Southeast region to deliver leading-edge cloud communications and managed network services that offer real value to business customers.”
