The door at Verizon swung open to promote one new employee and wish another farewell.
Sarah Marsh talked with our James Anderson about leaving the carrier for a yet-to-be-named new opportunity. During her tenure, most recently as director, channel strategy and sales enablement, Marsh helped to expand partners’ product porftolios and tackle channel conflict.
Meantime, Brian Gault accepted a promotion at Verizon from channel partner manager to national partner manager.
Jarrod Councill (left) joined the Comcast Business/Masergy team as emerging business channel manager. He brings expertise in cloud solutions and working with MSPs and VARs. He’s an alum of Five9, ScanSource and Genesys.
Then there’s Caron Hay (right), promoted to inside sales partner manager. Her old title was senior partner services coordinator.
Brian Siconolfi, COO and partner at Hypercore Networks, became SVP of service delivery at Nitel when the latter bought the former.
His career in the industry goes back nearly 20 years when he started as a service delivery specialist at XO Communications.
Austin Holverson just got promoted at Nice CXOne. His new title is RVP of partner sales.
Holverson is a 12-year channel veteran with experience at Telarus, CarrierSales, Vonage and Sumo Communications.
Brittany Caito (right) is the new senior national partner manager at Nextiva, the business communications collaboration software provider. Caito is well-known in the channel for her roles at Comcast Business and AppSmart, as well as Windstream and various companies it bought.
Meantime, Melissa Rubsam (left) got a promotion from the company. She’s now senior manager of channel marketing programs.
That there is Carlos Da Palma, who joined the AWS team as partner development manager.
Based in London, Da Palma spent the last four years as channel account director at Bluebeam.
Amber Hafterson took up a new job as national partner manager at NetAlly, the network tester and Wi-Fi analysis company.
You may recognize her from Neat, Mitel, Forcepoint, Sungard AS or CDW.
MSP360, which provides backup and IT management solutions fo MSPs and IT departments, looked to Katie Bach as its new global director of channel operations. Her job is to lead the next growth phase for the company’s channel partner program.
Her previous job was VP of branding at PartnerEdge, the channel strategy and marketing consultancy.
Former Telarus senior vice president Amy Bailey (left) just wrapped up a seven-year run at the tech solutions brokerage, venturing out on her own. More details to come. Her last day with the TSB was Aug. 19.

On the flip side, Telarus promoted Kelly Hoyle (upper right) to senior director of customer success management and hired Heather Bielecki as VP of marketing operations and digital marketing. Her last job was a similar role at Qumu Corp.
Drew Nadler is new to Momentum Telecom as the managed network and UC provider’s senior director of international carrier relations.
Previously he was with Hypercore Networks for a year-and-a-half, and then Nitel after the latter bought the former. He’s also a Verizon alumnus.
Catherine Solazzo, who spent 17 years at IBM in channel marketing, is now the chief marketing officer at Syntax, the enterprise cloud solutions provider.
She spent a year in between those jobs, first at Tech Data, and then TD Synnex after the two distribution behemoths merged.
Channel partners know Lori Cornmesser for her various stops at Infoblox, Ixia and Juniper Networks. Most recently she built the first partner program for security vendor CyCognito.
Now she moves on to Deepwatch, the managed detection and response provider. She is the company’s new senior VPP of global channel sales and alliances.

Level AI, which provides artificial intelligence solutions for call centers, named Karen Bowman its VP of channel and alliances.
We bet you know Karen from Ujet and/or Five 9, where she held VP and senior director of channel positions, respectively.
Longtime CenturyLink channel exec Lisa Miller landed at Equinix, the data center and colocation provider. Her title is senior VP of platform alliances.
In between CenturyLink and Equinix, Miller served more than a year and a half as president and COO for consultancy Spearhead Advisors.

Dan Tomaszewski’s promotion at Kaseya came not long after the company closed its highly scrutinized acquisition of Datto.
Tomaszewski is now executive VP of channel for the IT management software provider. It’s a promotion from SVP of channel and community. He is well-known for building Powered Services, the sales and marketing enablement platform.

Anne Chow, CEO of AT&T Business, ended a storied career at the carrier with her retirement announcement last month.
Chow was the first woman of color to ever hold a chief executive position at AT&T. The channel advocate has also served on a variety of boards of directors, including the Girl Scouts and Asian American Justice Center.

That’s Ron Burke, the new senior partner manager at Jenne, the cloud services brokerage. He serves the Central region of the U.S.
His previous career stops include Nextiva, Nitel, and most notably, 16 years at CDW.
Mayka Rosales-Peterson just took a new job with Intelisys, the tech services distributor.
As senior manager of partner marketing, one of her big responsibilities will be to evangelize the company’s revamped education and marketing platform.
You probably know Rosales-Peterson from AppSmart and Telesystem. You’ll get to know her even more if you read James Anderson’s article about her.
Cloud security and networking company Infoblox made two key personnel decisions.
First, it promoted Aric Ault (left), a veteran of the company of more than three years, to managing director, EMEA channel. He also spent 11 years at Cisco.
Next, it named Joe Gately (right) SVP of sales for the Americas. He joins the team from VergeSense, where he was CRO. Infoblox says Gately brings three decades of experience building sales, channel and other go-to-market teams.
After nearly 20 years at TPx Communications, Hilary Gadda (top right) surprised some in the channel by resigning, citing an “incredible 20-year journey” in a LinkedIn post. What’s next for one of the pioneers of Women in the Channel? (We trust she will tell us when the time is right.)

Lumen added Jaime Piñero (left) as channel sales director in the Southeast. He and his team will focus on managing strategic accounts and new opportunities.
It’s a promotion for Ben Engelstad, now solution support lead. His previous title was solution support engineer.
Cybersecurity vendor AttackIQ turned to John Brown, formerly of Menlo Security and LogRhythm, as its new head of global channel.
AttackIQ says the hiring of Brown will help with the sale of the company’s breach and attack simulation (BAS) solutions through the channel.

A range of hires, from the top exec on down to channel-specific, to report from GoTo.
First up is Paddy Srinivasan (left), the company’s chief product and technology officer, elevated to CEO. His job, as you might expect will be to accelerate innovation growth, among SMB customers in particular. Srinivasan replaces GoTo board member Mike Kohlsdorf, who has been keeping the seat warm since January.

That’s Paula Clark on the right. Her title is senior manager of global partner enablement. She comes to the company from RingCentral.
And in the middle you see Jesse Harrison. He returns to GoTo (he was at LogMeIn for nearly four years before the name change) after a short stint as director of global channel sales at Limble CMMS.
Ingram Micro promoted Elizabeth Liszka to Trend Micro solution specialist.
Liszka has focused on Trend Micro during her nearly three years at the distribution giant, most recently as a sales support representative for the security vendor’s products.
Kam Flaherty, who was a founding member of the Nextiva channel program, is the new market director for channel in the Northeast for Vonage. He will recruit and build the Vonage partner base in Upstate New York with select partners in New York City and northern New Jersey.
Flaherty is also a Level 3 Communications alum.
Dominick Delfino moves from his post as CRO at Nutanix to lead global cybersecurity sales at Google Cloud.
It comes as Google Cloud gets ready to finalize its acquisition of security vendor Mandiant.

Say hi to Joe Giammanco, director of sales and transformation services at Acliviti, the contact-center-as-a-service provider.
The industry vet spent more than 10 years at CXOne, and most recently was at Talkdesk, where he was VP of sales.
Tech services distributor Sandler Partners snapped up Monique Stone as its new VP of supplier sales and management.
She comes over from Ntirety, where she was channel sales VP. Other career stops include INAP and Zayo.
Johnny Ellis will lead the EMEA channel for Arctic Wolf, the security vendor. His job will be to recruit and build a strong partner ecosystem for the expanding company.
Ellis comes to Arctic Wolf from Arrow ECS, the value-added distributor, where he was UK sales director for more than 16 years.
NS1, which provides what it calls smart network control solutions, appointed Emily Nerland as head of global sales. She joins the company from Masergy, where she was managing director for EMEA.
At Masergy, she was responsible for growing the region through both direct and indirect channels. Before that, she was director of channel at the company.
Shannon Bruner started as a sales enablement specialist at CCaaS provider Five9.
He brings experience from Masergy, Cybereason and more.
Tanya Fisher is Broadvoice‘s newest regional channel manager, covering Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
She joins the SIP and VoIP cloud business provider from ATP Ohio, where she was a vice president.
Fisher is also a longtime NCAA softball umpire.
Meghan Hambacher Wilkinson just signed on as VP, Strategic Clients Group, Verizon, at Oracle.
She is well-known in the telco channel for eight-and-a-half years at CenturyLink (now Lumen).
20-year IT industry veteran Ryan Barker is the new VP of revenue optimization at CDI (Computer Design & Integration.
The company, No. 150 on the 2022 Channel Futures MSP 501, will ask Barker to help CDI grow across both the U.S. and internationally.
StackPath, a platform of edge computing, delivery and security solutions, enhanced its partner program and hired Frank Stepczyk as head of channel partnerships.
Stepczyk spent 12 years at Access One, building a channel program for the telecom reseller. He then led channel teams at Paetec/Windstream. His last gig was a channel leader at CenturyLink/Lumen.

It’s a promotion for longtime TBI‘er Adam Knudsen, whose new title is senior vice president of sales operations. He will continue to lead more than 70 team members within the tech service distributor’s operations department, as well as focus on partner satisfaction, customer retention and the company’s growth.
Sanjay Poonen is the new CEO at Cohesity, taking over for company founder Mohit Aron at the data protection provider.
Poonen, you probably know, spent seven years at VMWare, where he was chief operating officer. He also held leadership positions at SAP, Symantec and Informatica.

Contrast Security turned to Tom Kellermann as its new senior VP of cyber strategy. He will particularly focus on the company’s government and financial sector strategy.
The 23-year industry vet has been head of cybersecurity strategy for VMware and chief cybersecurity officer for Carbon Black.
Coro just hired Forrest Knueppel as VP of alternate channels.
The cybersecurity provider gets someone with a lot of channel experience over the last few years, with stops at Ujet and Fuze. He started his career at XO, where he spent eight years, followed by four at Windstream.
RapidScale, a Cox Business company, brought on Samantha Wojenski (right) as senior director of cilent experience. Her responsibilities include account management and support of RapidScale customers through their life cycles. Her last job was SVP of customer success at RegEd, the SaaS provider.
Also new to the team is Ryan Carillo, cloud solutions consultant for Pennsylvania. He has 12 years of experience at various companies ranging from small startups to large enterprises.
Mary Jaco moves from Kings III Emergency Communications to Crexendo, where she will be a channel sales manager.
She also brings experience from CenturyLink and Ricoh.
SVP of channels and alliances is Randy Streu’s new title at CyCognito, the cybersecurity vendor. That’s a promotion from VP of business and corporate development.
His work history includes SecurityScorecard, Sumo Logic and HPE.
Video conferencing equipment provider DTEN named David Angel its new general manager for national channel sales and Latin America.
Angel spent more than 26 years between Plantronics and Poly.
A pair of noteworthy moves at security provider Crowdstrike.
Based in Texas, Caroline Bond is a new regional cloud manager for the company. She spent more than four years at Splunk before making the move.
Meantime, Kyle McCaffrey as regional sales manager, MSSP. His previous employers include Trend Micro and ConnectWise.
You’re looking at Bill Hustad, the new global channel chief at Okta, the identity security specialist.
He was with Splunk for five years before that, most recently as VP of alliances and channel ecosystems.
It seemed like a perfect time for our Edward Gately to grab him for a Q&A.
Skyhigh Security, which plans a new partner program announcement for early 2023, expanded its channel leadership team.
That’s Scott Goree on the left, the company’s new VP of worldwide channels. There’s a good chance you know him from his last gig, global leader of worldwide distribution at Nutanix.
On the right, that’s Jeff Tripp, who steps in as senior director of Americas channels. His last position was director of North America channel sales with Dell’s networking business.

Summit 7, the cloud-focused Microsoft gold partner, has a new VP of partner strategy and cybersecurity education. It’s Joy Belinda Beland, whom you might know best from ConnectWise or Continuum.
Three women joined the team at Opex Technologies, the IT service provider and consultancy.
Left to right: Gwyn Grafe, managing partner; Cicily Maddox, senior client success manager; and Renae Price, director of client success.
Vijay Mistry joined Vast Data as channel account manager. Well-known in the channel for 15 years at Cisco, Mistry has a “successful track record of successful vertical proposition.”
He will be responsible for territory in Northern Europe.
After a storied 22-year career at Cisco, Prashanth Shenoy accepted a job at VMware as vice president, cloud platform, infrastructure and solutions marketing.
Shenoy’s last position at Cisco was VP, cloud and networking marketing.
Craig Patterson (right) just got a promotion to senior VP of global channels at Aryaka, the SD-WAN and unified SASE solutions provider. It’s a newly established position that should lead to more alignment of partner sales, marketing teams and programs around the world.
Meantime, Hunter Owens (bottom left), last seen at TBI as a channel sales manager, and also a Lumen vet, lands at Aryaka as channel sales director for the South Central region. Andrew Morrison (upper left), previously with 8×8, Lumen and Frontier, joins the company with a similar title, serving the Pacific Northwest.
Todd Nightingale said so long to Cisco, where he was executive VP of enterprise networking and cloud, and hello to Fastly, the cloud content delivery provider, where he will be CEO.
He’s also a Motorola vet.

He’s a longtime industry vet, with time spent at Sirius Computer Solutions, NaviSite and Avaya.
Todd Wilson (pictured) joins the team at Menlo Security as VP of global channels. He is tasked with building and leading Menlo’s partner program.
He brings experience from AppOmni, Netskope, Forcepoint and AT&T.
Wilson will report to Menlo Security’s new CRO, John Wrobel.
MSSP Nuspire appointed Pete Shah to the role of chief revenue officer.
Shah has more than 25 years of experience in enterprise security software and services.
His last job was CRO at Fishtech Group/Cyderes.
Sean Corrigan is the new vice president of business development at Sangoma, which recently bought NetFortris.
It’s a promotion for the Star2Star alum, who joined Sangoma after it bought Star2Star. His previous role was VP of sales for the East.
Lucas Carvalho is the new SVP of operations at Position Imaging, the package logistics and asset location company. He is tasked with enhancing Position Imaging’s engineering team that continues to achieves U.S. patents for innovative technology.
Carvalho is a 17-year veteran of BAMSI, where he last was executive VP of corporate resources.

September brings in autumn, but there’s no cooling off Channel People on the Move. We’ve got another 76 people who took new jobs or accepted channel promotions last month. And it’s just the tip of the iceberg!
Where do we start? How about with the big telcos? AT&T and Verizon each said so long to significant players in their business and channel teams.
Tech services distributors also got in on the act. TBI promoted a 10-year veteran of the company and Intelisys snatched up an AppSmart and Telesystem alum. Furthermore, Telarus was busy with a longtime marketing exec saying goodbye, but hiring and promoting two others.
Multiple security providers, including Crowdstrike, Arctic Wolf and Coro made personnel changes. Traditional tech distributor Ingram Micro and cloud giant AWS had some movers and shakers too.
