BullsEye Telecom has tasked one of its founders with transitioning its clients to digital voice services.

The company on Wednesday said it has promoted Tom Tisko to chief operating officer. Tisko helped found BullsEye and has been serving as executive vice president for the Michigan-based company since 1999.

BullsEye says he will work to move clients from analog to digital VoIP before “the impending sunset of analog voice technology.” The company in its Wednesday announcement said AT&T and other telecommunications competitors are working to legislate old style telephone communication into antiquity.

“BullsEye is focused on preventing its base from getting ‘caught off guard’ by proactively educating and migrating them to alternate forms of VoIP technology, including hosted PBX, integrated voice, SIP and unified communications,” the company said.

BullsEye Chairman and CEO Bill Oberlin says his company is pushing to become a leader in in VoIP and unified communication as a service (UCaaS).

“BullsEye has long been known to be the best enterprise multi-location provider in the analog voice space, and now we’re establishing a reputation as the preferred VoIP and broadband provider in the multi-location space,” Oberlin said.

Besides his 18 years at BullsEye, Tisko also has worked at AdVal Communications and Electronic Data Systems.

“I’m excited to take on new responsibilities for making our execution in conversion activities best-in-class and enhancing the implementation of more complex services like SD-WAN,” said Tisko. “BullsEye has the experience and expertise in delivering the next generation of integrated communications solutions, and it’s my role to continue to expand the company’s capabilities and capacity while improving the speed and effectiveness of our deployment activities.”
