Avaya has released AvayaLive Connect its public-cloud unified communications (UC) platform to small businesses in the continental United States.

The company is offering a free, 30-day trial to new customers.

Avaya in March partnered with Level 3 Communications to deliver AvayaLive Connect. It’s Avaya’s first public-cloud product within its Collaborative Cloud framework. Small organizations may access UC for a monthly fee starting at $19 per user, with no capex. Features include voice, conferencing, messaging, mobility, presence and video. AvayaLive Connect is ordered, downloaded and accessed over the Web.

AvayaLive Connect supports PC, Apple Mac, iOS and Android devices for BYOD environments. Companies also can opt for full-featured desk phones.
