TBI has solidified its collaboration with Cox Business, Cox Communications’ commercial division, by entering a direct agreement.

This agreement will allow Cox Business to grow its channel presence in the Midwest.

Cox Business offers high-speed internet, advanced voice, digital TV and managed networking services. Its own network supports the services.

TBI’s Mike Onystock

Mike Onystok is TBI‘s senior vice president of operations. He said the partnership has been in the making for some time.

Many of TBI’s partners already are residing within Cox’s territory, he said.

“From a solutions standpoint, it’s a perfect fit – Cox Communications is the incumbent cable company in the area and TBI was looking to help partners capitalize on that,” Onystok said.

Cox Business is the parent of RapidScale, a provider of cloud solutions. RapidScale’s core technology solutions include managed IaaS, DaaS, backup and DRaaS, cloud security, SD-WAN, remote monitoring and Office 365.

“The large footprint of Cox Business will open partners up to a range of opportunities from SMBs and retail pursuits, to larger Fortune 500 companies and more lucrative verticals such as healthcare and government,” Onystok said. “Being the third-largest U.S. cable company, there are endless service opportunities from an abundance of businesses and across industries.”

TBI partners can provide customers with greater options through Cox’s fiber and broadband services, and RapidScale’s solutions, he said.

“They fit well together, combining the connectivity of Cox Business with the managed and hybrid managed cloud offerings of RapidScale,” Onystok said. “The more a partner can be a single source for multiple solutions, they are better positioning themselves as a true technology adviser to their customers.”

“Cox Business solution providers are vital to the success of our business,” said John Muscarella, Cox Business’ senior director of national accounts. “TBI and Cox Business are both focused on treating our partners as our customers and providing the best experience possible.”
