Infoblox has enhanced its BuildingBLOX partner program to offer additional benefits and training, and increased opportunities in network and domain name system (DNS) security.

The program updates reinforce Infoblox’s commitment to the channel – as 95 percent of its sales are driven through the channel – with increased investment and focus on partners’ go-to-market efforts, the company said. Key additions include new rewards for partners, deal-registration enhancements, the introduction of rebate awards and the enhanced training resources.

Infoblox’s Chris Jones

Chris Jones, Infoblox’s vice president of worldwide partners, tells Channel Partners as his company refines its go-to-market strategy, “we wanted to evolve our channel program to better reward partners for adding value and investing in Infoblox.”

“As such, the new program has been architected to better incentivize and recognize partners who go above and beyond in driving business and hunting for new opportunities,” he said. “We also refreshed our program requirements to align with our expanding product portfolio including security and network automation.”

Additionally, while Infoblox has a long history in network security and DNS, it’s typically been a niche field for partners, Jones said.

“But as hackers increasingly take advantage of networks to breach organizations, transmit malware and exfiltrate sensitive data, we see a real opportunity for partners to differentiate themselves in the crowded security market by developing expertise in network and DNS security,” he said. “Accordingly, the new program aims to help partners bridge the gap between security and networking through new training, resources and certifications.”

The program is built to reward partners on achieving bookings and accreditation targets, value and pipeline contribution, and driving investment and business together, according to Infoblox. It helps ensure partners stay current on technical and sales certifications, and demonstrate industry leading expertise to select the right solutions for their customers, it said.

New partner tools include a partner-facing dashboard to provide reseller performance visibility, and plans for a partner training portal to offer on-demand resources and learning.

“We are constantly engaging with our partner community in an effort to better understand their needs — their feedback played a huge role in our revamp of our program,” Jones said. “Specifically, we were hearing a lot from our partners about growth and value, so we’ve redesigned BuildingBLOX as a value-based program that aims to help partners grow with us. As a largely channel-driven business, we owe much of our success to the commitment of our partners and this revamp reinforces our commitment to them.”
